【Call for Contribution】The design for “Xiao-Ji the Robot in ‘Robot Also Gets Tired’”
There are 170,000 more women like Xiao-Ji in Taiwan society, though they are not robots but household service workers. Working around the clock without any break, even a robot also gets tired, let alone for a real person in flesh and blood.
For the Migrant Workers’ Rally 2009, we want to call for contributions for a symbolic icon, with “Xiao-Ji” the robot as the main character, to convey the notion: “Even a robot also gets tired.”
After consulting with migrant workers for opinions, we will select the most popular “Xiao-Ji” as the symbolic icon for the migrant rally this year.
No matter you are a friend of “Xiao-Ji” or “Xiao-Ji” in person, please come and join our ranks through your brush and creativity, fighting for the migrant rights!
